Fennel romanesco’s plants are characterized by a white bulb and resist also to low temperatures. The soil must be carefully chosen and treated for the cultivation: it must be cool, loose and deeply treated due to the fennel’s length. However, the sowing operations are typically carried out in the summer, in particular in August. The growth of such plant takes place with a mild climate. The irrigation must be regular and constant and can be also manual. It can be consumed either cooked or raw because it keeps all its benefits. It is rich in vitamins, mineral salts and potassium.
