Tomato pantano romanesco produces a type of particularly large fruit, a little flattened and ribbed. When it is ripen, the color of the pulp is red while the peel is red with light green streaks and thick to the touch. The texture is firm and allows the consumption of the fruit mainly raw. After sowing, which takes place at the end of the winter-early spring, as soon as the plant becomes manageable it must be transferred into pots to facilitate the development of solid roots. The harvesting period is between July and September. The best growth temperature is around 22°, with an ideal sunny exposure. The plant requires few treatments and is very resistant if it is regularly irrigated. Thanks to its refreshing properties and excellent vitamin content, Tomatoes pantano romanesco are ideal for nutritious summer salads.
